In April, 2022, Lori debuted her Ode to Color^® exhibit at the celebrated Venice Biennale. Conceived as an immersive, cross-sensory experience, Lori installed ten translucent boxes containing mixed materials, both natural and man-made, that evoked the essence of each color world in three dimensions. In addition, she paired each color world with original musical compositions, as well as specially designed scents that further elucidated their aura and resonance. The installation invited visitors to experience color with multiple senses and to reflect upon those that were most personally impactful.

Lori was honored to receive an invitation from Google Xi to participate as one of eight exhibitors at its experiential conference, held in March 2023 at Pier 57 in New York City. Google Xi is a division of Google dedicated to exploring and developing spaces that accommodate the array of differences in our learning styles and perspectives in order to maximize their inclusivity. The opportunity allowed Lori to present her synaesthetic color philosophy in sharper relief, as she translated Ode to Color^® into new sensory dimensions.

Lori partnered with Google Xi and Hello Destination to bring an Ode to Color activation and exhibition to life during the IMEX fair held in October 2023 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. IMEX America is the largest trade show in the US for the global meetings, events and incentive travel industry. The opportunity allowed Lori to present her synaesthetic color philosophy in sharper relief, as she translated Ode to Color^® into new sensory dimensions to inspire new ways for the hospitality industry to create events and conferences.

In collaboration with Hello Destination Management, Ode to Color^® was brought to life in ten distinct rooms that captured the ten color worlds in Lori Weitzner’s book. Teeming with food, drink, and original music that embodied the essence of the Ode to Color philosophy, these installations engaged the five senses in an immersive, captivating experience. Alchemy beckoned with the ethereal melodies of a harpist, while Garden Party entertained guests with lighthearted décor and games like Twister and hopscotch. Guests visiting Earthly were embraced by the exotic color and warmth, the beauty and wonder, of nature’s warmest palette. It was an enchanting journey through hues and sensations, leaving a lasting impression on attendees enjoying a unique holiday celebration.
